Your teeth may be the root of your chronic health problems

A root canal can lead to infection

You find yourself tossing and turning in bed, unable to get a restful night’s sleep.  No, it’s not because of stress that’s on your mind or the coffee that you had a little too close to bedtime.  It’s your aching tooth!

Sometimes, despite your best efforts, your dentist may give you the bad news that your toothache is due to infection and you will be faced with the decision of whether or not to have a root canal done.

Before you make the decision to go ahead, ask your dentist about the correlation between root canals and chronic infections.  Dr. Weston Price diligently compiled research over a 25-year period and demonstrated the damaging effects from bacterial infections that spread from root filled teeth.  Shockingly, these teeth can be attributed to a wide array of chronic degenerative diseases including (but not limited to) heart and circulatory diseases, arthritis, and diseases of the brain and nervous system.

Furthermore, once the infection sets in just extracting the tooth doesn’t necessarily correct the problem as the bacteria spread into the surrounding bone and other tissues.

The good news is that not everyone who has a root canal gets sick.  Having a strong immune system can prevent the spread of infection.  Still, be aware that you do have alternatives to getting a root canal.  Consult a holistic dentist for options.
