Artificial sweeteners are toxic to your body
You know that sweet-tooth of yours? Aspartame (Nutrasweet or Equal) and Splenda (Sucralose) are associated with cancer, birth defects, and neurological symptoms. Oh, and they make you fat, too! Think twice before you drink “diet” pop and chew “sugar-free” gum. Instead, use natural sweeteners in moderation.

Can you tell me the dangers of Acesulfame potassium, which is a zero calorie sweetner that is an ingredient in my whey protein? Is there a healther whey protein you can get (besides unflavored whey)?
wow! Doc, it’s soooo good to know this~! Thx!:P
Artificial sweeteners are not good for you. I know people don’t like that statement, but that is my conclusion based on looking at aspartame (Nutrasweet/Equal), acesulfame potassium (Ace-K), sucralose (Splenda), and others.
The only zero-calorie nutrients you should be consuming are air and water. Otherwise, chemically-designed artificial food … See Moreadditives are meant to “trick” the body. When you fool the body with chemicals, you change the natural processes of your body’s physiology. That means you’ll get unintended side-effects.
Having said that, though, there is hope! Stevia is a safe NATURAL sweetener (it is a shrub native to Paraguay). Best of all? ZERO CALORIES. Do a search online and you’ll find there are now whey protein supplements that are sweetened with stevia.
