Water is the most important thing to put into your body and your muscles. Even the slightest amount of dehydration can decrease a persons strength up to 15%. Remember that the next time you are feeling weak during your gym workout or just dragging your butt around throughout the day.

I have fun finding all these interesting tidbits too!

On average, about 80% of your total water intake comes from beverages (including caffeinated drinks) and 20% from food. In a 2004 report by the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies, it was recommended that daily total water intake for sedentary adults should be 3.7L for men and 2…. See More7L for women.

Actor Jason Statham (of the “Transporter” movies) drinks 5L of water daiily as part of his intense weight loss/bodybuilding routine for his movies. While I would consider this excessive, it shows how important he felt water was to getting his body lean and strong.
